Pfizer is committed to raising awareness of the health literacy issue and developing real-world strategies for addressing this public health problem. Pfizer has supported more than eight years of research in both academic and clinical settings to determine the causes of low health literacy, the scope and impact of the problem, and to begin to develop solutions that center around clear health communication.
Building the evidence base for improving health literacy through clear health communication is an important goal of Pfizer's CHC Initiative and of the overall health literacy movement.
